New batch form the kiln!!

I finaly got my first batch of new work fired!!

and the turn out not to bad!!



I also learn from this batch about the color with my new work

(me and Jason alway have critique when we have new work)

anyway, I just appy for this year's Bazaar bazaar with my new batch...

New Slipper, New way

Today I wake up in a different kind of mood,

I think is a good mood, anyway...

I just realize that my slipper is really beat up and dirty

so I guess is good time to change my slipper



I got this cute slipper last Christmas from Laurie

I didn't want to use it, because it is so cute.

Anyway, I think today will be a good day to start use this slipper

because it just gave me a little inspiration for my work

okay, time to work in studio :-)

Sick days

I have been sick for almost a week now...
at first I thought it was just some kind of allergy

and it turn out to be my longest sick days ever



Jason took me to doctor yesterday, because I am just not getting any better
and the doctor's name is " Dr. Do" I think is pretty cute name for doctor
anyway, it turn out that I just got some really bad virus.
And he wants me to come in if I'm not feeling any better in a week
I just can't believe that I am that sick for a simple cold...

anyway, I am better now. At least I can still type :-)

Something that I am working on :-)

I know I haven't post anything for awhile...
I really wants to post more often,
but my old computer just don't want to work with me sometimes

anyway, couple weeks ago I made these for jewlery



they are pretty small, but they are jewelery!

I fired them last week to cone 5 without glaze
they doesn't come out as good as I want them to be
but I was expecting them like that (because this is a test)

and I just bought some new slip for this, I think it would looks nicer in the new slip

Also, I cast some mold that Tiffany gave me, I turn them into salt and pepper shaker
and these molds are so cute!!

anyway, I have been working in my studio a lot more now
also I have working with wheel too,

can't wait to post some of my wheel work :-)

Today I got an email from Ayumi Horie, (she didn't know me, I just sign up for her email news)

I am so glad to sign up for her email news, she always update her website and keep people interesting in it. And from this email she shows that she have a youtube video and it is so cool!!!

I am an aunt now!!

Last week I got a phone call after my class, as soon as the phone ring I knew the baby is here

and here is my niece!! I still don't know her name yet



Jason don't believe you can tell if the baby look like their parents,
he think baby just looks like monkey...
he think you can only tell if they look like their parents when they gets order



But I think she looks a lot like my sister :-p
and here is my nices with my sister!



Time goes by so fast, I can't believe she is a mom now.

I still think I am a kid still... is that a good thing or not?

anyway...I am a aunt now!!!!

I took these picture last month when I went up to Napa to help Jason unload the wood fire kiln


these pictures made me wonder if I need to make any art work?
because all around us there are many cool stuff is just too cool the way it was made.
just like these stuff in the picture.
for me, that's art work.

as an "artist" ( I am not sure if I am one yet...) sometime I don't think I can create something like that, so simple also have a use in the life.
I hope I didn't make too much junk.(my work)
I guess is all up to the viewer to decide what is junk and what is art
anyway...

My first english blog...

Finally I get over the fear of writing in english. Even though I know I will make a lot of grammar mistake and spelling mistakes, but I thought...now is the time I should start my blog.
Because I don't have a face book or myspace ( I know they both are the same thing...) so I thought this might be a good way for my friends to know what I am up to now.


oh, the newest news from me is...I made my first Etsy sale!!! and this is the cup!!
I thought I will never get a sale through Etsy, but it actually happened!! Now this cup is with it's new owner in Indiana.
